The Monday public holiday is earmarked for visits to private and public mineral collections in Brisbane as well as a swap and sell session. We hope to organise an overnight field trip within 3 hours of Brisbane on the Tuesday and Wednesday.

A seminar dinner is planned for the Saturday night, within the seminar precinct.

No specific theme is selected for our seminar and our speakers are encouraged to present a variety of mineral related topics, be it minerals, mineralogical history or localities over the two days.

It is only early stages of our planning, but the organising committee is keen to hear from those interested in attending as well as potential presenters! It is possible that we may be able to arrange further events outside of these days and we will post further information when it becomes available.

Please email any questions you may have to our society secretary,
John Hayward ( or phone our President, Tony Forsyth on 0419 661 962.

Please visit for the latest information and copies of seminar enrolment forms once they become available.
