Planning for the 41st joint seminar of the Mineralogical Societies of Australasia is well progressed and seminar registrations have opened.

The seminar will be held in Ballarat, Victoria over the Queens’s Birthday weekend June 9th - 12th, 2018. 

The venue is the Mercure Hotel & Convention Centre, 613 Main Road, Ballarat and the theme of the 2018 seminar will be:

“A Golden Age of Mineral Deposits and Mineralogy” 

There will be 1½ days of formal sessions to be presented by great speakers, experts in their fields. 

The Sunday afternoon, will be available for micro collectors in conjunction with a swap and sell session. 

The last two days are allocated to field trips. The first, on the Monday 11th June, will be to the well-known locality of Mt Shadwell. The second locality will be visited on Tuesday 12th June, and is tentatively the Mineralogical Reserve at Dookie.
